Talia Retter
Fotografia di Talia Retter Talia Retter is a Doctoral Student at the University of Nevada (USA) and at the University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium). She deals with Neuroscience and Psychology and her Advisors are: Dr. Bruno Rossion, Fang Jiang and Michael Webster.
In June 2012 she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with General Honors at the University of Chicago. Here, her programs of study were: Psychology with Honors and Biological Sciences with a Specialization in Neuroscience.
From September 2012 to August 2015, she partecipated at Face Categorization Lab of Dr. Bruno Rossion (University of Louvain) as Research Assistant/Lab Manager. In this experience, she analyzed EEG data for fast periodic visualization stimulation studies using Letswave5 (MATLAB); she tested participants for EEG (BioSemi ActiveTwo system) and behavioral experiments and she generated experiments in E-Prime 2.0 and SinStim (MATLAB).
She also partecipated in Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab of Dr. Jean Decety (University of Chicago) as Undergraduate Research Assistant, form July 2011 to July 2012. Here, she completed an honors thesis: “Autonomic responses to emotional stimuli in children with conduct disorder”
From October 2008 to September 2011, he was at Ober Lab at the Department of Human Genetics under the supervision of Dr. Carole Ober (University of Chicago) as Undergraduate Research Assistant. She performed lab work including DNA isolation and quantification, TaqMan Genotyping, SNaPshots, and PCR.
