Hilde Pedersen studied Optometry and Vision Science at Buskerud University College, Kongsberg (Norway). She graduated in 2006, and worked as an optometrist in private practice for eight years. She completed a Master of Science in Optometry and Visual Science in June 2015. Since autumn 2015, she has worked as a lecturer and research assistant at the Department of Optometry and Visual Science at the University College of Southeast Norway. She received a 3-year PhD-fellowship in september 2016 (staring January 2017), to undertake postgraduate research in the Colour Vision and Retinal Imaging Laboratory (the CVRI Lab) with professor Rigmor C. Baraas. Her research interests are related to retinal structure-visual function relationship in normal healthy eyes and eyes with retinal dysfunction.
