Degree (Laurea) in Physics and then in History at the University of Genova. Formerly Physics teacher, then Philosophy and History teacher in Genova High Schools. She has been CNR researcher at the Office for the History of Science and Technology, University of California at Berkeley (1985 and 1987-88), research associate at CERN in the History of CERN Project (1989-92), and then CNRS researcher at the Centre de Recherche en Histoire des Sciences et des Techniques at la Villette, Paris (1996). From 1999 she teaches at the SSIS (Scuola di Specializzazione per l'Insegnamento Secondario) of the University of Genova classes in History of science or Philosophy of science for Philosophy and History teachers. She is engaged in the MIUR research project related to the historiography of philosophy and historiography of science in Italy during the XIX century. She is a member of the History of Science Society (HSS), Association Henry Poincare’, Societa’ Italiana di Logica e Filosofia della Scienza (SILFS), Societa’ Italiana per la Storia della Fisica e dell'Astronomia (SISFA), Societa’ Italiana di Storia della Scienza (SISS), Societa’ Filosofica Italiana (SFI), Associazione Filosofica Ligure (AFL) where she serves as vice-president.
